Data and Mobile for Development: State of the Industry

January 29, 2013 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM EST
CGAP Headquarters, 900 19th Street, NW, Suite 300, Washington, DC

CGAP invites you to join a roundtable discussion with Corina Gardner and Tim Hatt of Mobile and Development Intelligence (MDI), an open data portal for the developing mobile industry based in London. In conjunction with CGAP's ongoing blog series examining the data architecture of branchless banking, Corina and Tim will be discussing some of MDI's new research findings on the current and future state of the mobile banking industry. The MDI team's research, supported by the Rockefeller Foundation, entails analyzing the landscape of platforms currently being used to deliver services across development sectors (such as agriculture, health and money) and highlighting opportunities where mobile technology can positively impact development.

The roundtable will take place on January 29th at 12:30 -1:30 EST at CGAP headquarters, 900 19th Street, NW, Washington, DC. Please RSVP.
