2010 Digital Money Forum: CGAP is organizing a session focused on technology and unbanked customers at the 2010 Digital Money Forum. The goal of the Forum is to encourage discussion and debate around the real issues of electronic money in all its forms (London, March 10-11, 2010).

Watch the Video -- Branchless Banking Scenarios for 2020: After releasing a Focus Note, CGAP produced a video that discusses the 2009 CGAP and DFID scenario-building project on using branchless banking to reach the unserved majority by 2020.

CITI-FT Financial Education Summit 2009: CGAP is one of the supporting partners for this year's Financial Education Summit, which convened around 300 representatives of nonprofit organizations, financial institutions, government agencies/regulators, multilateral institutions, and microfinance institutions. (Singapore, December 3-4)

Nomination: The White House announced the nomination of CGAP CEO Elizabeth Littlefield to become President of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC). If Ms. Littlefield is confirmed by the U.S. Senate, Alexia Latortue will become the Acting CEO of CGAP while a global search is underway for CGAP's new CEO.
