Mark Flaming
Mark is a consultant with over 20 years experience in the development finance industry. He began his career managing and consulting nonprofit microfinance institutions followed by working as a financial sector specialist with the Inter-American Development Bank from 1993 to 2002. Mark has worked in Latin American countries designing and managing initiatives related to financial sector development, including: central bank operations, banking law reform, banking regulation and supervision, microenterprise development, second tier development banks, and bond market development. He represented the IDB in policy dialogues with government officials, monetary and regulatory authorities, and private sector actors. Mark has a master's degree from Harvard Divinity School. He speaks English, Spanish, Haitian Creole, French, and German, with varying degrees of fluency.
