Anya María Mayáns
Anya María is a CGAP consultant in the area of financial capability and financial inclusion. Her prior work experience includes directing the Latin America Financial Literacy Initiative at the Council for Economic Education in New York. She holds a masters in international relations from Brandeis University and a bachelors degree in psychology from the College of Mount Saint Vincent in New York. Between 2000 and 2003 she was the director of instructional technology for the After-School Corporation, an initiative of George Soros in New York City public schools. Anya María is based in Montevideo, Uruguay and is fluent in English and Spanish.
