Louis de Koker

  

   

Louis is a professor of law at the School of Law at Deakin University, Melbourne. Before joining the university, he was the director of the Centre for the Study of Economic Crime at the University of Johannesburg.

He is the author of South African Money Laundering and Terror Financing Law (LexisNexis) and a co-author of a number of corporate law books. He is a member of the editorial advisory boards for the Journal of Money Laundering Control and the Company Lawyer. In addition, he is a South African editor of the Journal of Financial Crime and a specialist editor on financial crime for Amicus Curiae. He is a fellow of the Society of Advanced Legal Studies (UK), and an attorney of the High Court of South Africa. He regularly advises on the drafting of, and compliance with, financial crime laws in developing countries.
