| At a technical level, CGAP develops technical tools and knowledge for those who play a policy, regulatory and supervisory role in microfinance. Wherever possible, these are developed in partnership with other providers. Complementing this work, CGAP and its partners deliver training courses for government policymakers, bank regulators and supervisors, and donor staff on legal and regulatory issues in microfinance.
The MFI Audit Information Center is an online resource center offering specialized training materials for auditors, documents for MFIs, and access to discussion groups. The Audit Center also offers a "Help Desk" with detailed answers to common questions from auditors, MFIs, and donors.
Information Systems Services (ISS) is a resource center serving two main purposes. The first is to stimulate the development of cost effective solutions in Information Technology (IT) for the microfinance industry. The second is to assist MFIs in their due diligence process for selecting an appropriate IS application for their organization.
DIRECT Donor Training Materials are designed for donor staff and managers for whom microfinance is just one part of their portfolio of activities. It is also meant as a resource for microfinance specialists within agencies and consultants working to mainstream microfinance good practices among donor staff.
