CGAP FY 2025 Annual Report
FY25 marked the second year of CGAP VII – a five-year strategy focused on advancing development outcomes through financial inclusion. Amid ongoing global turbulence and the frequently observed 'poly crisis' the world is enduring, we deepened our work to ensure that inclusive finance delivers resilience, opportunity, and wellbeing for people and small businesses. We also continued working on closing the remaining gaps that prevent people from accessing or effectively using financial services. Thematically, we prioritized solutions to climate change, poverty, gender inequality, and fragility; supported micro and small enterprises and private investment; and advanced frontier approaches including open finance, AI, embedded finance, and tokenization.
We are proud that the knowledge and insights we generated and shared in FY25 is already helping governments, businesses, funders, and other development actors to improve financial inclusion and to better leverage it to achieve broader development goals. Below is a snapshot of our impact in FY25. For a more complete overview of CGAP's work, our FY25 annual report covers the period from July 1, 2024 - June 30, 2025.
