Bridget Gasabile leads CGAP’s partnerships and initiatives in Tanzania, with a focus on rural women and agricultural livelihoods. She has over seven years of experience in telecommunications, specializing in mobile financial services at Zanzibar Telecom and Vodacom Tanzania. As the Country Director for the Eywa project, sponsored by Mastercard, Bridget played a key role in developing a digital transit system for public transport in Tanzania, gaining valuable insights into product launches, operations management, recruitment, and marketing strategies. Previously, Bridget served as Vice President of the Internet Society Tanzania chapter, where she promoted connectivity solutions and actively engaged in community networks and women’s empowerment initiatives to bridge the digital gender gap. She also founded the "She is Connected" movement, aimed at providing women and youth in local communities with essential digital literacy skills. With a background in software engineering and project management, Bridget brings a diverse skill set encompassing technical, management, and operational expertise. She is based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
