Titus Nkwale offers consultancy services to the Access to Insurance Initiative (A2ii) as regional coordinator for Sub-Saharan Africa, supporting insurance supervisory authorities especially in regulation and promotion of inclusive insurance.

Prior to joining the A2ii Team in 2024, Titus worked for over 20 years at the Pensions and Insurance Authority (PIA) in Zambia, where he held leadership positions in the Insurance and Pensions departments.

During his time at the PIA he was involved in the work of the Committee of Insurance Securities and Non-Bank Financial Authorities (CISNA) - a sub-structure of Southern Africa Development Community (SADC), mandated to study, recommend and coordinate the harmonization of regulatory frameworks in insurance and other non-bank financial services in that region. 

He was also a member of the maiden governance committee of Insurance and Assurance Services of the National Health Insurance Management Authority (NHIMA) in his country

Titus has a master’s degree in financial management (MSc) from Heriot-Watt University. He is also a member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accounts (ZICA) and the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA). He also has a degree in accountancy from the Copperbelt University - Zambia.
