Wajiha Ahmed

Wajiha Ahmed leads consumer research projects at BFA, working particularly in the management and analysis of Financial Diaries projects. She also manages measurement diagnostic exercises to track countries' progress towards shifts from "cash-heavy" to a greater use of electronic payments.

Prior to BFA, Wajiha worked at the World Bank, where she advised and worked with regional teams on the design and implementation of results-based financing projects. In particular, she focused on bottom-of-the-pyramid energy access pilots in South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa. She has also worked as a consultant for the Aga Khan Foundation where she led field-based research on village savings groups in northern Pakistan and led a microfinance market research study for the Kashf Foundation in Punjab, Pakistan.
