Amina Idris

Financial Sector Analyst

Amina supports the Partnerships Unit in managing relationships and engagement with CGAP members and prospective members. She also supports market intelligence gathering and analysis for partnership development and fundraising.

Prior to joining CGAP, Amina worked with other World Bank housed programs including the Women Entrepreneurs Finance Initiative, the Korea Green Growth Trust Fund, the Climate Investment Funds, and the Competitiveness for Jobs and Economic Transformation Program. Her experience with these programs included donor relations and fundraising, program management and governance, and monitoring and reporting program results and impact. Her World Bank experience also includes agribusiness research and data analysis. 

Before joining the World Bank, Amina worked on program management and new business development at Cultivating New Frontiers in Agriculture in Washington, DC. In Nigeria, she worked on public-private partnerships at the Bureau of Public Enterprises and market research for Consumer Microfinance Bank.  She holds an MSc. in International Relations and International Economics from Northeastern University, and a BSc. in Banking and Finance from the University of Abuja.
