Feven Getachew provides strategic communication support for CGAP projects focusing on financial inclusion and improving livelihoods for platform work, micro and small enterprises, digitizing microfinancing and Cash-in and Cash-out projects. In addition, Feven will lead in developing and implementing CGAP's internal communication strategy.
Feven has 10 years of experience in leading communication and advocacy initiatives in Eastern and Southern Africa. Before joining CGAP, she worked for UNICEF in Ethiopia, leading in increasing the organization's digital footprint through curating content, developing advocacy and campaigns, and building a wealth of communication assets for a local and global audience. Formerly, she led the communication and advocacy initiatives at SOS Children's Villages International Eastern and Southern Africa region.
She has a Master's degree in Business Administration for International Leadership Institute and a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Communication from Addis Ababa University.
