Kwame Oppong works in CGAP’s Inclusive Markets team and is based in Ghana. He joined CGAP in 2016 and works on digital financial services ecosystems, which include providers, central banks, finance ministries, and other stakeholders, to advance financial inclusion through digital financial services. Mr. Oppong also supports CGAP work in other markets in Africa. He has worked in mobile financial services operations and developing technology solutions.
Before joining CGAP, Mr. Oppong was the general manager for Tigo, a mobile financial service provider in Ghana. He has also worked in Hewlett Packard’s Enterprise Business division, and he has held other positions across the telecommunications, housing finance, and health insurance industries.
Mr. Oppong has a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Central University and a Master’s in Business from Virginia Commonwealth University.
