Peter has more than 15 years of experience in inclusive finance, working in 25 countries across the world. In the early 2010s, he built and scaled mobile insurance with MicroEnsure, reaching more than 30 million customers. In 2017, he co-founded Turaco, a leading inclusive insurance company in Africa. Peter then moved to AXA’s Emerging Customers team, where he served for 4 years as Head of Global Partnerships supporting initiatives in Latin America, Africa and Asia. 

Today, Peter supports CGAP’s efforts to identify products and solutions in climate adaptation & resilience for inclusive FSPs, leading the group’s guidance on risk assessment and management as well as innovative customer-centric products. His expertise includes financial product design, alternative distribution, and business process optimization. Peter holds degrees from the University of Oxford, Emory University, and Davidson College.
