Renuka Pai

Consultant

Renuka Pai is a consultant with the World Bank Group, and has experience working on projects in Africa, South Asia, Central Asia, Eastern and Central Europe, and the Western Balkans. Her work focuses on financial inclusion, entrepreneurship, SME finance, women’s economic empowerment, social norms, and the development of the digital economy. She has worked on several projects across the World Bank and IFC where she has contributed to policy and research in payment systems development, responsible financial access, and digital inclusion.

Renuka previously worked as a Program Director at the Maryland Global Initiative for Cybersecurity, and a Research Assistant at the Center for International and Security Studies at Maryland, University of Maryland, where she supported the development of a Cyber Risk Analysis Framework and a Cyber Events Database. 

She holds a Master of Public Policy degree from the University of Maryland, and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Information Systems from the BITS Pilani University in India.
