Valdete Berisha manages CGAP’s FinDev Gateway, a global resource on financial inclusion. She joined the World Bank in 2012 and worked in the Global Engagements Unit of the Agriculture Global Practice until July 2016.
Valdete has over 10 years of international development experience focused on research and communications in global trade policy, agriculture, and financial inclusion. Before joining the World Bank, she worked at the Global Trade Group at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) from 2005 to 2012. At IFPRI, she conducted research on trade policy and worked with the team that established AGRODEP, an economic modeling consortium for African researchers.
She has a Master’s degree in International Commerce and Policy and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from George Mason University’s School of Public Policy.
