CGAP Welcomes New Members to its Executive Committee
WASHINGTON, D.C., October 22, 2024: CGAP is delighted to welcome two new members to its Executive Committee, which functions as CGAP’s advisory board.
The new Executive Committee members are Audrey Brulé-Françoise, Head of Financial Systems Division at Agence Française de Développement, and Payal Dalal, Executive Vice President of Global Programs at Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth. Brulé-Françoise joins as the new representative of the DFIs Constituency and Dalal joins as the representative of the newly created Private Sector Constituency, which includes the recently announced strategic partners. Both were elected by their respective constituencies.
All Executive Committee members join either as the representative of one of CGAP’s constituency groups—Bilateral Agencies, Development Finance Institutions, Foundations, Multilateral Development Banks, or Private Sector—or as at-large members who are selected for their technical expertise and leadership in CGAP’s strategic priority areas.
The Executive Committee members whose terms continue are:
- Anouk Aarts, Senior Policy Advisor, Sustainable Economic Development Department, Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs (representing the Bilaterals II Constituency)
- Paula Arregui, Senior VP and COO at Mercado Pago (at-large member)
- Henri Dommel, Director for Inclusive Digital Economies, United Nations Capital Development Fund (representing the Multilaterals Constituency)
- Buhle Goslar, Chairperson, Lula and Board Director, Aceli Africa (at-large member)
- Daniel Hailu, Executive Director, Pan-African Programs, Mastercard Foundation (representing the Foundations Constituency)
- Shinjini Kumar, Co-Founder and CEO of SALT (at-large member)
- Jean Pesme, Global Director for Finance, Finance, Competitiveness and Innovation (FCI) Global Practice, World Bank (representing the World Bank)
- Ola Sahlén, Senior Program Manager, Unit for Globally Sustainable Economic Development, Swedish International Development Agency (representing the Bilaterals I Constituency)
- Sophie Sirtaine, CGAP CEO (Ex officio member)
The 11-member Executive Committee, which provides strategic guidance to the CGAP operational team, is chaired by Henri Dommel from UNCDF.
